This book is the almost the funniest book I ever read, second only to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Just from reading the first sentence, you can tell that the author has a great sense of humour. You might think from the title that this book is silly and childish, but you would be very wrong. Although yes, it is silly, it is not childish. The author has just added the humour and creativity in at just the right amount, so it becomes very interesting to read, and childish books are never interesting.
This book is the sequel to Nose Pickers from Outer Space, but I have not read that book, so I only know what happens in this one. It continues on the fact that Devin is living with a 147-year old alien from the planet Pan, Stan Mflxnys. Stan is a travel agent with the Pan-Pan Travel Bureau, and he is trying to get Earth to be picked as Pan's vacation planet. His rival, Shkprnys is working to get Mercury picked as the vacation planet instead. However, if Mercury is picked, Earth will be towed past Pluto, turning it into a frozen Earthsicle! What can Devin and Stan do? (Hint hint: Read the book!)
Right now, I've read only ONE Gordon Korman book, but just from this one book, I can tell that all of Korman's books will be great to read! The author really expresses his creativity in this book, along with his sense of humour. What is especially funny in this book (and probably in the whole series) is the names. The name Pan for the outer-space planet is one thing, but citizens of pan as PANTS? I mean, seriously! It does make sense, along with the Smarty-Pants, Under-Pants, and Grand Pant thing, but it's just totally hilarious!
I totally recommend this book to people who are bored often and want a good laugh. If a laugh is what you want, then you are definitely gonna get one if you read this book! I mean, what can you expect if the book's publisher's name is "L.A.F."?
